*YoVille Update*
Hey Everyone,
We wanted to take a moment to review some of the changes in game that have been made recently. It’s important that we address some of your concerns and feedback about these changes. Please take a chance to thoroughly read the through this post.
Buddy List
We are going to break down the major concerns voiced from the YoVille Community and let you all know how we are working to make changes to address them.
Deleting Friends off of your Buddy List
Currently the only way to delete a buddy who is also your friend from your Social Network is to delete that player from your Social Network’s Friends List. We are aware that many of you do not always want Social Network Friends to appear on your Buddy List. We are working on a better way to be able to delete Social Network Friends from your Buddy List or allow you not to show certain friends. This is a big change and may take awhile to add. We appreciate your patience while we work on improvements for this feature.
Online/Offline Feature
We understand that sometimes you may want to go in game without all of your buddies knowing that you are there. We are working on an option that will allow you to not show up as online. This should be similar to an “invisible” feature that many chat or instant messengers have. Your privacy is important to us and we hope to have this available soon.
In addition we are also looking into including an enable or disable feature that would allow you to turn on and off the pop-up that appears when a buddy logs on and off. We understand that this can be distracting, especially when you are trying to decorate. We may also change this feature so that it does not notify you every time a buddy logs on or off.
Visiting Friends Directly Through their Home
We have heard many players feedback in wanting this option back on the Buddy List. We are looking into a few options for this, we will update you as soon as we have more info on what will be done.
Stalking or Harassment Issues
Through the previous Buddy List there were issues with players blocking a player in order to stalk them through the buddy list. The new buddy list fixes this issue. If anyone has blocked you with the intentions of adding you to their buddy list without your permission, they will no longer be able to follow you. Blocking a player no longer adds them to your buddy list.
Friends not being added onto Buddy List
We have seen many players saying that they do not have their friends on their buddy list. There are a few things that you must confirm here.
If you are missing a friend from your Friends Ladder you will most likely encounter issues with your buddy list showing the same friend. We are looking into the loss of friends from your Friends Ladder. When this is fixed it should also fix the buddy list issue.
Tagged Accounts having issues not being able to add friends from other networks or buddies from other networks not on buddy lists anymore. We are currently investigating this issue and working on tackling this as well.
Friend’s Names on Buddy List
We are looking into different options for your friends names on your Buddy List. We have seen some very important points made from some of you that you are confused as to which buddy just came online or which one to join because you have many friends on your Social Network with the same name. We want to make this distinction between your friends easier for you by either including their avatar name or adding more of their name to the list. We will keep you updated on this so you know what name to look for when trying to join a certain player.
We are listening to your concerns and making adjustments to this feature. We want to make this a feature that you will enjoy using. Expect more updates on our progress soon. We appreciate everyone’s feedback so please continue to keep us informed with your thoughts on this feature as these changes are implemented.
Events
Here is a breakdown of the event issues we have seen reported and what our team is working on addressing:
Events not showing up
We are aware of issues with some players not seeing a full list or events, or seeing events in a different language. This may be due to being switched onto a different server or edits being made to the events themselves. Before we did not give you the option to edit and change the category your event was in. We are still looking into this issue to see if there is any problems due to the actual event creation or the clean up process of events.
Can’t Join Events
If you are having issues joining events and getting stuck at 100% we are investigating the cause behind this and working to resolve it as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused and appreciate your patience. We’ll keep you updated as we get more info about this problem.
Appearing on the Wrong Server
The issue here is with the wrong events showing for players. Players have not actually be switched to different servers. We are working on resolving the Events issue in order to fix this problem.
Provided Email did not Receive Special Item?
We wanted to take the chance to update you all that if you previously submitted your email address to us before this item became available we will be rewarding you with this item. We hope to have this done later this week. We will be crediting the item to all players that fall into this category.
We have not forgotten about you 
We are still working hard to compile all accounts that have previously given us their emails and will reward them all at once very soon!
Loading Issues
We are looking multiple loading issues pertaining to players inventories either not being able to load up their inventories and/or not being able to save rooms and getting stuck saving a room with too many items in it. We are also investigating issues loading into game that players are experiencing as well.
