I was on Facebook today, when on the side of my screen, where you see all the ads that pay Facebook to adveritise, ther ewas and ad for a “Guide to Conquering YoVille.” When I cliked the link, I was taken to a site advertising the slae of a sort of strategy for YoVille.
This advertisement piqued my curiosity because it seems odd that Facebook would allow this to be advertised on their site, as Yoville is an app on Facebook. I also wonder if YoVille, as closely guarded as they can be over spoilers and cheats/hacks, has OK’d this advertisement. Most know what aill happen if a site was to post spoilers or hcaks, they will suffer Zynga’s wrath. Because if this, I cannot see YoVille giving the okay for this advertisement. Something else I cannot understand is why, if that is the case, Facebook would chance offending Zynga by allowing this. Hmmm … this might just need further investigation.
Now let me say that this is a well thought out site and idea (if it is legitimate). You, as a citizen, are free to write a book or strategy guide on anything you like and this could potentially turn out to be an amazing money making venture for the author. The author bery well could hav e taken the time to write down his/her strategy and describe how they were able to Move up and Prosper” in YoVille. If it is indeed legit, then it could possibly help may people playing the game. It seems that since they are claiming to be able to “max out yocash,” who says doing offers is hard,” and “make 650 yocash in three days,” that they are promoting a guide for taking advantage of the offers that Zynga allows. This could go either way, I know of ways that the offers can be cheated, but if it is legitimate, it could help many people who do not already know how to take advantage of the offers.
This advertisement claims that you can “reach level 50 in three weeks.” This I find very hard to believe starting as a noobie and making it all the way to level 50 in just three weeks. Even with the claimed 650 YoCash, this endeavor woud require a lot of coins. Without cheating, I cannot think of a way to get that many coins in that amount of time.
Some things that the site claimes seem like they are very possible and could be helpful, while some in the time frame they give and the way it is worded, make me think it can’t be legit. But I have not seen the aforementioned book and cannot say for sure.
The site even goes as far as to hve “real life” testimonials from “customers” using their real life picture and supposed real life name. It is, again, very well layed out and reminds me very much of an infomerical.
Now, if this site is not legit, which is very possible, there are links to a “member area” and a video. Because of the possibility that the site is not legitimate, I did not click them to check it out, for fear it could be a phishing site. So, I can’t say for sure what is in there. However, I do not recommend clicking any links on sites that you do not know and trust.
The site could be a scam and you get nothing whe you pay, they offer to take credit cards and you can instantly download a PDF of the book to your computer.
Now, in my opinion, I would love to think of this as a legit idea that some enterprising mind took advantage of and is legit and that it’s a great opportunity to help the average player succeed in YoVille. But being as I haven’t and won’t buy it, I cannot tell you which it is.
This advertisement seems very well thought out with the organization of the site and an idea and at the worst is a very good scam that could possibly cause issues for a lot of people. Either way, I don’t see how Facebook would allow this to be advertised.
We will leave it up to you to decide on your own opinion on the “guide” but as always, we are here to keep you informed, save and up to date on all things YoVille related.
